3+ year experience in renewable energy project

Yes, worth doing! (8/10)

Blueberry Energy specializes in delivering cutting-edge solar solutions, with expertise in commercial rooftop systems and comprehensive project management. The company is committed to helping businesses transition to sustainable energy through innovative design, seamless project development, and accessible financing options. Blueberry Energy is dedicated to empowering clients with customized solutions to meet their specific energy needs, driving sustainability and long-term cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

We’re looking for a Project Development Manager to be the driving force behind our project pipeline—taking opportunities from early-stage leads through to construction-ready status and overseeing delivery to completion.

This is a commercially minded, coordination-heavy role. You’ll work closely with engineers and technical consultants, but your core strengths are in project management, stakeholder alignment, and commercial judgement—not deep engineering. You think in project steps and flows, and are the master conductor of the process.

1 Project Planning & Coordination

• Own the full project development life cycle: from customer identification, due diligence, and site review through feasibility, contracting, permitting, procurement, and handover to construction.

• Build and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and tracking tools.

• Coordinate with technical consultants and in-house engineers on site surveys, system design, and yield assessments.

• Lead permitting and grid connection processes with Vietnamese authorities.

• Identify risks early and drive practical mitigation strategies.

2 Contract & Stakeholder Management

•  Coordinate the legal team for preparation, review, and negotiation of EPCs, PPAs, solar leases, O&M contracts, and service agreements.

• Provide commercial input into contract packages and term sheets.

• Serve as the primary project point of contact for customers, contractors, and partners.

• Maintain version control, compliance monitoring, and organised filing of all agreements.

3 Business Development Support

• Support client pitches with project-level data, timelines, and delivery track records.

• Coordinate proposals, feasibility summaries, and tender documentation with technical staff.

• Build relationships with EPC partners, suppliers, industrial parks, consultants, and regulators.

4 Team Leadership

• Recruit and develop a small project team (1–2 coordinators) as the portfolio grows.

• Establish standardised workflows, templates, checklists, and SOPs.

• Collaborate with IT & Digital Solutions on project management tools and automation.

Your profile

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field.

• Postgraduate PM qualification (MBA, MSc) or certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.

Experience

• Minimum 3 years in project management or project development, ideally in renewable energy or infrastructure.

• Hands-on experience with solar rooftop projects in Vietnam is a plus.

• Track record managing EPC contractors, construction programmes, and multi-stakeholder delivery.

• Familiarity with project contracts (PPAs, EPCs, O&M agreements) and commercial negotiation.

• Experience with Vietnamese regulatory authorities on permitting and grid connection.

• Exposure to project financing or investor due diligence is an advantage.

Skills

• Strong organisational skills—able to juggle multiple projects without dropping the ball.

• Independent, accountable, and purpose-driven.

• Excellent communicator across cultures: comfortable with clients, contractors, investors, and government officials.

• Both detail-oriented and big picture mentality.

•Fluent in English and Vietnamese.

• Self-starter who thrives in a lean team and is comfortable building processes from scratch.

• Willing to travel within Vietnam and occasionally across the region.

Why Join Blueberry Energy

• Direct impact: you’ll shape how clean energy reaches Vietnamese businesses and communities.

• Ownership from day one: no layers of bureaucracy—your work moves the needle.
