The Dariu Foundation (TDF) is a Swiss international NGO working to improve opportunities for disadvantaged children and youth through digital, AI education, and related development initiatives. In Vietnam, TDF has worked primarily with rural and underserved communities and has built programs around digital and AI literacy, Dariu tech clubs, and youth empowerment. TDF has long-term mission in Vietnam and active partnerships supporting digital learning and youth opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
The Foundation is seeking a proactive and results-oriented Fundraising Officer to mobilize eligible resources for our programs in Vietnam. The position will focus on identifying and developing funding opportunities from corporations, CSR programs, foundations, and grant-making institutions, while supporting proposal development, donor relationship, and partnership management.
The postholder will work closely with leadership teams to build a strong funding pipeline and secure high-quality partnerships that align with TDF’s mission and program priorities.
1) Fundraising and donor prospecting
• Identify, research, and qualify potential donors, including multinational corporations, international companies, foundations, embassies, business associations, and CSR platforms operating in or connected to Vietnam.
• Monitor relevant grant opportunities, calls for proposals, and donor trends aligned with TDF’s sectors and geography.
• Maintain and regularly update a fundraising pipeline with clear next steps, timelines, and opportunity values.
2) Proposal and grant development
• Lead the preparation of concept notes, grant applications, pitch decks, donor briefs, and partnership presentations in English.
• Coordinate with relevant colleagues to develop strong technical narratives, budgets, logframes, and supporting documents.
• Ensure all proposals are tailored to donor priorities and submitted on time with high quality.
3) Partnership development and donor relationship
• Initiate and nurture relationships with prospective and existing donors.
• Organize partnership meetings, follow-up communications, and presentations.
• Support negotiation of partnership scope, deliverables, timelines, and reporting expectations.
• Contribute to donor retention through professional relationship and timely communication.
4) Reporting and internal coordination
• Coordinate donor reporting processes with program and finance teams to ensure accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
• Track commitments, reporting schedules, and compliance requirements.
• Support documentation of impact stories, results, and partnership outcomes for donor engagement.
5) Strategy and market intelligence
• Contribute to TDF Vietnam’s fundraising strategy, with a focus on diversified revenue streams.
• Provide donor intelligence, competitor scanning, and trend analysis to inform business development priorities.
• Represent TDF in relevant networking events, donor forums, and partnership meetings when required.
Expected Deliverables / KPIs
• Qualified donor prospect list and regularly updated funding pipeline.
• Number and quality of concept notes, proposals, and applications submitted.
• Total value of funding pipeline developed.
• Total value of grants/partnerships secured.
• Timeliness and quality of donor reports and relationship actions.
• Number of strategic meetings and partnership conversion outcomes.
Your Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, international development, public relations, marketing, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, business development, partnerships, grant acquisition, or CSR engagement.
• Demonstrated experience in proposal writing and donor communications in English.
• Proven ability to identify prospects and develop partnerships independently.
• Strong coordination skills and ability to work across programmatic and finance functions.
• Good understanding of NGOs, INGOs, development projects, and donor expectations in Vietnam is an advantage.
• Experience in education, youth development, digital inclusion, AI or community development is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and results orientation.
